The most important thing for everyone running The Obstacle Run is to have a great time and create wonderful memories!

The race for everyone

The Obstacle Run is the most fun challenge of the year, even for those who are not into competing. You’ll get a time so you can compare yourself with your friends, colleagues, and other runners, but without strict rules or the pressure to complete every obstacle.

Participants in Run for Fun are assigned start times based on the order of registration. Start times will be published closer to the race.

No, as a participant in Run for Fun, there is no requirement to complete the obstacles. If you choose to skip an obstacle or can't complete it, you should do 10 burpees before continuing the race.

It all depends on your previous experience and your own goals! Some tips include training to keep your body active for about the same amount of time it will take you to complete the race.

If you haven't tried an obstacle course before, we also recommend training your grip strength by hanging and improving your agility by practicing jumping over and crawling under things. If there's no obstacle course nearby, you can often do this at various playgrounds.

It's highly individual. Some prefer to use gloves during obstacle races, while others choose not to.

It can be advantageous to use gloves if it's very wet or if your hands are not accustomed to a lot of hanging. A tip is to try them out before the race, and if you're unsure, you can always bring gloves and tuck them in your pocket if you decide you don't want to use them.

Company challenge & team challenge

When registering, you can choose to represent both a company and a team. The five best times in each category are added up, and the companies and teams with the best average time for their five runners will win.

We will announce the top three companies and the top three teams. A team can be either a club or a team name created by a group of friends. All with the same team name will automatically be grouped together.

You can register in any class; everyone who writes the same company and/or team will automatically be included in these competitions.
