FAQ

Before the race

The start lists with start times will be released a few days before the race. The first start is at 12:00 PM, with the highest-ranked women and men in the competitive class. After that, we will release the starting groups at a few-minute intervals to avoid long queues at the obstacles.

We will have a break of about 45 minutes before the first start for Run for Fun, approximately at 13:45 pm. In Run for Fun, participants generally start according to the order of registration, but some adjustments will be made so that those with the same team or company affiliation start together.

For the family race on Sunday, the first start is at 12:00 pm and is based on the order of registration. Some adjustments will be made so that participants with the same team or family name start together.

Collect your startkit at the check-in at the event area. More information at each race site

No, every participant should collect their own race kit at the check-in.

Yes, send an email to info@theobstaclerun.se. We will try to fulfill all wishes but cannot guarantee it's possible too close to the race.

No, registrations are purchased online.

Yes, send an email with all the information required at registration, to info@theobstaclerun.se no later than two weeks before the race.

In Lidköping, near the event area, you'll find Lidköping Squash and Padel Center. Inside, there are changing rooms with showers and toilets, as well as a bag drop-off service. In your race kit, you'll find a sticky label to attach to your bag before dropping it off.

Everyone with the same team- or company name will start together. Remember to spell the name exactly the same!

If you want to add or change team-name, please send an email to info@theobstaclerun.se with information, and we will help you with the change.

The sooner you contact us for changes, the better chance that we have time to help you.

Yes. Send us an email if you need a receipt.

You can also use Epassi if your company is part of it. Just pay the registration fee through Epassi and send us an email afterwards with all the information required for registration.

During the race

There will be a couple of hydration stations along the course. More information will be published later on.

The Obstacle Run is an urban race, but the running will take place on various types of terrain. Some obstacles, such as Ninja Jumps and Ramp, require good grip from your shoes.

In dry and sunny weather, a pair of classic running shoes will work just fine, but in rainy conditions, trail shoes might be beneficial. Shoes with metal spikes are NOT allowed.

It's up to each individual. Most people manage well without gloves. On some obstacles, such as Rope Climb and Toroz Rig, some runners find they get a better grip with gloves, especially if it's wet.

If you are running in the competition class, you will start with three wristbands. For each obstacle you fail to complete, you are required to hand over one of the wristbands to an official. If you lose all three of your wristbands, your timing chip will be removed before you cross the finish line, and you will not receive an official finish time.

If you're running in Run for Fun, you can choose to skip an obstacle and instead do 10 burpees before continuing.

We have general rules that apply to all runners. If you're running in the competition class, there are additional rules to consider.

If you're running in the Run for Fun category, there are some specific rules that apply.

The family race has some specific rules as well.

It's the participants own responsibility to read the rules!

Medical staff are stationed along the course, primarily around the square/square bridge and at the event area. Contact the nearest official if you sustain an injury that prevents you from completing the race or if you need medical assistance.

After the race

The results will be published after the race. You find the results on each race site, and in the menu to the right.

Yes, in Lidköping Squash and Padel center you find both showers, changing rooms and bagdrop.

There will be food trucks at the event area in Lidköping. You will also find Pinchos, Rörstrand Museum Café, and Konditor Trulsson.

Additionally, there are plenty of restaurants and cafés in the city center, just a short walk away.
